$10 Date Night at Studio Bell kicks off with Valentine’s Day Bash on February 14

January 17, 2020

The National Music Centre (NMC) will kick off another year of its popular $10 Date Night series at Studio Bell with a special Valentine’s Day Bash on Friday, February 14, 2020.

The Valentine’s Day Bash will feature vinyl DJs spinning all of the best love tunes on the East Village Skybridge, a cash bar with beers provided by Village Brewery, and a Cupid’s Arrow cocktail. Plus, daters can take in a ballroom dancing lesson inside Studio Bell’s second floor performance hall.

“We’re launching our $10 Date Night series on the most romantic day of the year,” said Jess Knights, NMC’s Manager of Education and Public Programs. “Whether you’re celebrating with your sweetie or your buddy, this Date Night is going to be an extra special one. We’re also excited to expand our offerings throughout 2020 with a cash bar every month and a rotating roster of musicians and DJs, so look for something new every month.”

Visitors to Studio Bell can enjoy extended hours and discounted admission rates once per month starting on February 14, with all remaining Date Nights happening every second Tuesday of the month (excluding December) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Valentine’s Day Bash will run an extra hour from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Studio Bell is the perfect after work date night destination with five floors of exhibitions to explore, interactive activities, memorabilia from four Canadian music halls of fame, and new temporary exhibitions celebrating iconic Canadians, including the recently extended Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Bass Exhibit and Homegrown Country: Celebrating Canadian Country Music, which will now run until the spring of 2020.

As an added bonus, show your $10 Date Night ticket to receive 10% off all food and beverage items at the King Eddy that same night. Keep the sparks flying on Valentine’s Day as the Eddy presents Valentine’s Day Live Karaoke with Mariya Stokes.

Advanced tickets for all $10 Date Night events can be purchased here. Public tours are available at an added cost of $7 for adults, $5 for students/seniors, and are free for youth and children (12 years of age and under). All public tours can be booked in person at Studio Bell during $10 Date Night.
