One of the most influential producers in Canadian music history, Jack Richardson founded Nimbus 9 Productions in 1968—signing the company’s first act soon after, an up-and-coming Winnipeg band called The Guess Who. Many great artists made the trek up to Canada to record at Richardson’s Toronto studio—including Peter Gabriel, Bob Seger, and Alice Cooper, among others. In 2003 the “Producer of the Year” JUNO award was renamed in honour of Richardson, cementing his legendary status in Canadian music history. Custom modified to his specifications, this console featured prominently in the Nimbus 9 studios during Richardson’s heyday.
