That’s the advice Teagan Littlechief’s mom gave her after years of struggling with imposter syndrome. Now, the powerhouse country artist from White Bear First Nation is passing that message on through her new single, “Rez Girl Proud” – out everywhere on October 2, 2026! It’s an anthem for other girls like herself to know their worth, stand tall and keep going, no matter how many times life knocks them down.
In 2026, Teagan joined a group of Indigenous artists from across Canada at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, for a five-day intensive artist development program. The experience provided career guidance, mentorship from leading music industry professionals, and meaningful opportunities for collaboration and creative exchange among the artists.
